Matt Kish at BookCourt tonight

This evening illustrator Matt Kish will be signing copies of his new book, Moby-Dick in Pictures: One Drawing for Every Page, at BookCourt in Brooklyn. As the title indicates, Kish, who lives in Dublin, Ohio, made an illustration for every one of the 552 pages in the Signet Classics paperback version of the Herman Melville novel. He started the project in August 2009 and worked his way through the book in order, completing the endeavor 543 days later in January of this year. And he did this while continuing to work his full-time job as a librarian in Dayton, which is quite the commute (a 90-minute drive) from Dublin. He’ll be at the bookstore at 7pm.
