Tonight, Halle & The Jilt will be celebrating the release of their new album, Three Roads Home, with a show at the Rockwood Music Hall. The band is largely the vehicle of songwriter and singer Halle Petro, a native of Cleveland suburb Highland Heights who moved to New York City after graduating with a music degree from Syracuse University in 2000. The new record is the band’s second and was produced using funds from a successful Kickstarter campaign. The album, which is streaming in its entirety on the band’s website this week, highlights Halle’s abilities as a singer through a mix of mellow blues, lilting folk numbers, and smoky torch songs.
