This is turning out to be a banner year for Cleveland sports fans, so long as you don’t care about football. First, the Cavaliers win the NBA Championship and now the Indians are in the World Series. The team hasn’t won a World Series since 1948, a drought only surpassed by that of their opponents, the Chicago Cubs, who haven’t won one since 1908. To say that this championship series is historic is putting it mildly.
But where can a Tribe fan watch the game where he’s not surrounded by bitter Yankees and Mets fans? We have some answers.
For Brooklyn-based Indians supporters, the place to be is the Park Slope Ale House, where the Brooklyn Browns Backers will hopefully find something to cheer about for once. The pub will be offering $1 off all beers on its excellent draught list as well as 75¢ wings for those watching the game in the back room.
Similarly, in Manhattan, the Union Square Browns Backers will be hosting watching parties at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, with drink and food specials and the club’s notorious shot penguin making the rounds. Further uptown, At the Wallace will be serving authentic Polish boys and a number of other items on its Tribe-inspired menu.
